Per PFF: Donald is taking a stand against the current rookie compensation system, and won’t sign. Bleacher Report has reported the team is “Not Close” on a deal. When the labor negotiations were in place, the NFL made sure that no rookie would make tons of millions just in case they turned out to be bust.

However what happens when the rookies turn into one of the best defensive players in the game? Currently, Donald is scheduled to make $17 million over the first five years of his career, but Donald is wanting a new contract that also pays him for his past years with the Rams. Most likely, the Rams are fighting over guaranteed money.
